  1. This was a nice commercial that the NBA did for the Christmas games. It was all of the main superstars from each team that were playing on Christmas and it showcase there main skill with was shooting and in Lebron James case dunking the basketball. And to show Christmas spirit and the bottom of the net it was some jingle bells. #JingleHoops

  3. This commercial put on by the NBA was a hit from the time it aired. The leagues top players all doing what they do best, and making it fun is so cool to see. I am a huge NBA fan and love Christmas so this commercial is forever one of my favorites I have seen come on!

  4. This commercial brings back good memories. It was one of a kind when it came out and had the ability to capture everyones attention. Bringing the top NBA players together for a commercial is a great marketing plan.

  5. This commercial provides an entertaining experience that allows the viewers to see a personal/fun side of these professional athletes. Being able to observe athletes creating something different while performing a sport they love brings a sense of normalcy to their audience instead of super hero or celebrity. The NBA created this commercial to drive in more audiences to view their games during the holiday season.

  6. First of all, as everyone mentioned above this is a great commercial. Secondly, I also believe the use of hashtags can have a strong use for fan identification. This was something I also mentioned about in previous course. It can be a great way to see who is involved and see where that level of identification can lead to further marketing.

  7. I believe that the hashtag video provided us with an outstanding overview on the point of social media usage and influence it has on current topics. I personally believe that it connects the target audience in a sense linking similar interest to the researcher at the time, when i think of anything social media related in this day in age my ideas and thoughts draft to tiktok and how the videos on your for you page are similar with multiple hashtags in the caption and believe this video goes hand and hand with this

  8. Great Commercial. The hash tag in this video was a great idea. Like all hashtags, it allows the marketers to really hone in on their target audience. People who associate with #JingleHoops are an easier target for markets than say just casual NBA follower. It tells the teams and whoever is using the data that the person is more than likely going to be watching on a specific day and at a specific time.

  9. This advertisement offers an enjoyable experience that enables viewers to glimpse a personal or light-hearted side of these great athletes. The ability to watch sportsmen create something unique while engaging in a sport they enjoy gives their viewers a sense of normalcy rather than super hero or fame. The NBA produced this ad to encourage more people to watch their games throughout the holiday season. This video's hash tag was a brilliant idea because it enables the marketers to focus in on their target market.

  10. In a commercial like this, the creators try to build a connection with the viewers. They want this to be an impressionable commercial where you associate it with basketball and those players whenever you hear that song. The creators produced an awesome commercial but incorporated an even better subliminal message.

  11. I strongly believe Hashtags are a way for fans to connect with their community but, also, for non-fans to discover and learn more if something piques their interest. The use of a Hashtag, in my mind, is an electronic way of a fan expressing their fandom. It is like wearing a shirt or hat out and about when running errands. It allows for a sense of identity whether it is in a Tweet sent out or, possibly, in their profile description elsewhere. The use of the Hashtag is flying their team's electronic flag and proudly letting people know where their loyalties lie. And...I agree with everyone else about the commercial. I had never seen it before and thought it was fantastic and original. I love when marketers and commercial creators think outside the box to connect on a level that will resonate with the audience.

  12. This is a super fun commercial and I still see it played years later, which really shows how great of an ad it is. It is fun and festive while showing up some of the leagues best players. This ad has excellent longevity considering only one player is still on their team in this ad (Curry) and two of the players are no longer playin in the NBA. I am curious to see if there was an uptick in sales after showing this ad, as that is the point of advertising after all.

  13. I am embarrassed to say this, but I have never seen that commercial before. I must have watched it 20 times. I’m a high school math teacher and I showed it to all of my senior level classes. Everyone of those students had seen it before. Hashtags are awesome marketing tools for specific generations. I am not sure that this particular advertisement led to more Special Christmas NBA jersey sales, but it was certainly entertaining.
