This is a blog created to help disseminate information to my advisees, but really all prospective, current, and maybe even former college students out there that need a little push, advise, perspective, and/or support. I am excited to be here for you.

Fall 2020 wrap up
Key takeaways
2020 sucks
You were the highlight of my week
Take the course lessons and apply them to your future careers in sport
I wish you all the success in the world and I love you! <><
Thank you for your enthusiasm and passion you bring to your courses. I am half way through the Masters program and I have enjoyed each I've taken taught by you. I have confidence 2021 will be a better year!
Thank you from someone who took a gap year (or...or five...or eight) between undergrad and Masters! This was my first class back in the swing of things and it made for a fun and engaging term. To 2021 we go!
Dear heavens, that was baptism by fire! I am glad you are thanking me and not cussing me out LOL, I definitely have less challenging courses you could have started with, but this one is over with and now you have put it behind you. Best of luck with the rest of your program
The fact of writing a literature matrix and the set up of it will truly help me in my future writing endeavors. Thank you for providing the class with such useful videos and information regarding the literature review. You are an awesome teacher and I wish you the best, and hope 2021 can be a better year! -Michael Wittenberg- ESPE6643
Thank you Michael. I am glad you enjoyed it. It was a challenging class. I hope you will find the rest of them challenging in different ways, and I dare say even enjoyable =)
Thank you for this video. I really appreciate your enthusiasm and passion! I learned a lot from this. I am always honest in saying I do not like reading, but this course gave me a different perspective on reading, especially reading research. The techniques and strategies I learned in this course will definitely help me the others. Happy holidays! I look forward to taking more of your courses. Sadé Gant, ESPE6643
Thank you for a challenging experience Dr. B! I appreciate you helping me better prepare myself for the sports management field! Have an awesome holiday season! Jacob Riehl
2020 did suck, however, I am trying to look on the bright side. As a high school teacher who is teaching online, my kids are gaining skills to prepare them for online learning, which opens up a whole new set of skills if they want to make use of online college classes. I have also gotten to spend more time with my own children and grandchildren and that has been awesome. I have started cycling and am looking forward to trying to compete in the near future, if COVID ever lets up. And I did have more time to become a better teacher through developing better lesson. And lastly, I had some good time to get started on this degree. It has been challenging but we will work though it and come out stronger on the end. Thank you for a wonder class.
I want to thank you for the experience I had in this course. This was my first course at Arkansas State and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The work was thought provoking and I feel it helped get back into the swing of things. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Let's hope 2021 is a better year.
Thank you for the experience Dr. B. I am officially done with the Sports Admin program and can say I have learned so much. I appreciate it! Have an amazing break! Best, Michelle Glass ESPE 6643
2020 may not have been the best year, however, it did get me thinking and being thankful for a lot of things. I definitely learned a lot and grew as a person. Thank you for a great semester and have a great break!
Thank you for a fun and exciting course that had some great readings that weren't boring like much of my undergrad studies! I will take my knowledge i have gained from this course and apply it to my current job and future career wherever it takes me. Thanks again and have a good break!
Hi Dalton, that's hilarious. I will tell you, so me of those readings were great, some of them bored me to death, lol. They were good comprehensive sport management readings though, so I included them. I am glad you liked them =)
Teacher this year has been one of the toughest in every way. A year in Afghanistan and now that deployment is over nothing is like before back home due to the pandemic. However, I must admit that this class allowed me to have a forum in which I had the freedom to direct my interests and develop them to the maximum. Thanks for everything, best wishes always!
Thank you for being such a passionate teacher! I know I also learn so much for your courses and that I'm receiving a valuable education. I look forward to applying everything I learn in your courses into real world applications. I'm hoping 2021 goes much better!
This was indeed a very stressful year. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and positive attitude you had on every class! You are an incredible teacher Dr. Benavides! Have a great winter break with your family. :)
